No holidays for a public servant rooting best for his constituents


Misamis Occidental--There is no such thing as a weekend if a public servant hopes for a brighter and more abundant future for his constituents. 

A mantra that Misamis Occidental Governor Henry Oaminal living for. 

Despite being a working person even on Saturdays and Sundays, Governor Oaminal makes sure that he still has time to enjoy during weekends.

A short prayer would start his day followed by the beginning of his duties. 

On Sunday, the governor visited the Mialen River in Clarin town, hit hard by the recent inclement weather. He led the damage assessment in the area as he ensured affected residents would necessary assistance from the provincial government. He also talked with the officials in the area to discuss future efforts how to prevent a repeat of heavy flooding.

In a coffee break, Gov. Oaminal with Jimenez Mayor Jojo Chiong. Afterward, they visited the Jimenez Public Market which was recently poured with a P10 million grant by MisOcc First District Representative Congressman Jason Almonte, in a bid to boost market activities in the area. 

Since then, it has been seen catering to robust buy and sell movements.

Gov. Oaminal then proceeded to Canibungan, Daku Clarin to check the dairy farm in the area. 

Eyeing to replicate more of it in the province, the governor glazed at the cows seemingly enjoying the field abundant with green grasses.

In the afternoon, Gov. Oaminal met Tudela Vice Mayor Estela "Cha2" Obut-Estaño and Board Member Heinjie Estaño for a lunch meeting at Vista Ella, Barangay Sebac, Tudela. 

The governor expressed appreciation for the locals’ warm hospitality throughout the day.(SN/PGMO)
